Information and Referral

DCCIL provides disability-specific information and referral to ensure people with disabilities have access to information needed to achieve or maintain independence in their communities.

Independent Living

DCCIL provides disability-specific information and referral to ensure people with disabilities have access to information needed to achieve or maintain independence in their communities.

Peer Counseling

DCCIL preserves its integrity as a grassroots organization by implementing peer support to achieve objectives set by the disability community itself.

Individuals & Systems Advocacy

DCCIL advocates for improved accessibility, and assists people transitioning from nursing homes to independent living in their communities. DCCIL staff advocate on an individual and system-wide basis to ensure the civil and human rights of people with disabilities.

Transition Services

DCCIL assists individuals with significant disabilities who live in nursing homes and other institutions to transition to community-based residences.
